Defilement! And why we should cooperate with God in the process of Holiness: by Laura Grace

a little on defilement
and unclean spirits........by Laura Grace

If you have bitter envy or self seeking don't lie about it (Book of James) ......
We cannot hide what is in our hearts from God: He sees it all. It is when
we are made more like him he will reveal things about others and not before that. Anything else is just suspicions. He Reveals truths to people he knows can handle it (grown ups in Him.) When Jesus uncovered what was going on with the woman at the well his heart was full of love for her and: "she knew it" and that's why she became his faithful follower and talked about him to everyone she met: "Come meet this Jesus!" she said.........

There is much that can be said about defilement which leads to uncleanness and can lead to unclean spirits hovering around. Peter was told to go preach "to the unclean" but he was told "kill and eat". No, this doesn't mean he is going to kill people but he was a warrior priest (dragon slayer if you will!). If we sit and talk to unclean spirits or try to reason people out of their defilement we will just get dirty ourselves and pollute the river of life within us.

Things "within" a person's heart that they hold fast to: whether it be foolishness, pride, deceitfulness, sexual sins, hatred, murder and everything else "unholy" cannot be reasoned with they must be cast out. They can be cast out by the Word of God and his living water flowing through a cleansed vessel of God!

In Mark chapter 7 Jesus (after rebuking the Pharisees for their focus on washing hands and getting after Jesus about his disciples not washing their hands) said "HEAR THIS" (to the whole multitude) saying "It's not what goes into your mouth that makes you unclean but what comes from out of your heart!" He went on with a list which included pride as well as deceit and foolishness! When we come to God to be changed and transformed we have all discovered unclean or defiled things within us that need to COME OUT and be replaced with the beautiful and lovely things of God. It is when people no longer see these things within us, they will be drawn to the beauty and Light of God shining out of our hearts.

There is much that can be said about defilement, but one definition is to pollute or to muddy or to "tread upon" or insult. A defiled person will tread and trample all over the top of something Holy and not seem to think they are doing anything wrong! Instead of receiving the living Word of God that can cleanse them and wash them clean they will argue and fuss and try to make God's words of no effect.

This type of defilement must be cast out and away from a separated and Holy vessel of God. To be Holy Means to be "set apart" and that means we cannot have arguments with those who wish to cling to their defilements. Unclean spirits will "act up" when the presence of God is around! Let's not deceive ourselves and think there "is no" spirit realm because there is! We need not fear it but we do need to be aware and study and learn so we can grow to a point where we can talk to those unclean spirits and say: "STOP" Cease! Desist! "FLEE" .......so the difference IS really made in the Heart and there is more to this than just calling on God's name. amen!

Resist the devil and he will flee! And I don't care who he is using. Resist him! in Jesus' name........(your humble servant) Laura Grace

(this is the type of expansion that will be in Grace to Grow Part 2 "More" currently in progress.)
